Year 1 Phonics Screening Check
 
Below is a summary of our school’s performance in the Phonics Check over the last five years. We are extremely proud of our children. 
 
One thing to bear in mind when comparing our data with other schools is that these year groups may only contain small numbers of children, which means that 1 child can represent between 5-10%.

 90.91% of children who took the phonics screening check achieved the expected standard (national average 82%)
 

2018

100% of children who took the phonics screening check achieved the expected level (national average = 82%)

89.5% of children achieved the expected

level (national average = 81%)

 

2016

81.3% of children achieved the expected

level (national average = 81%)

 

2015

78.6% of children achieved the expected

level (national average = 77%)

 

 

2014

88% of children achieved the expected
