Overview

We understand the importance physical education and school sport have in developing the whole child. Our vision is to inspire a generation to hold deep the values of friendship, excellence and respect. Our aim is to challenge each child to reach their full intellectual, creative and physical potential. We aim to develop a sense of personal health and well-being and a desire for lifelong participation in physical activity or competitive sport.

Steph Alderslade from Active Northumberland's School Sports Partnership, is our main deliverer of the PE curriculum alongside your child's class teacher.  However, additional sporting specialists are also planned to enhance our curriculum each term.

Cricket - Matthew Senior (Northumberland Cricket Board)
 

This year we have the following competitions:

November - Multi Skills Festival for KS1 children.  Skipping Festival for Year 3
March-Swimming Gala & Gymnastics Festival (whole school)
May - Football (Longhorsley Cup)
June - Orienteering at Wallington Hall, Football (Whalton Cup)
July      - Cricket KS2 & Football (Cambo Cup 
 
This academic year we have the following after school clubs:
Autumn 1 - 
Autumn 2 - Badminton from First Step Group & Commando Joe's after school club with Dave from the Newcastle United Foundation 
Spring 1 (2020) - Multi Skills for KS2 with Dave 
Spring 2 - Football with Steph Alderslade
Summer 1 - 
Summer 2 - Cricket with Matthew Senior
