Our Community

Our school community demonstrates five core values with Love at the centre which are:

Friendship, Forgiveness, Honesty, Trust and Hope.

We are very proud to be a Church School and our links with the parish are strong. The whole School presents special services in our three Churches on a number of occasions during the year to celebrate the major Christian festivals.  Parents are invited to share in the majority of these services with us.  On the first Friday of every month we have our collective worship in St Helen’s.

We are very lucky to have our wonderful Church Mice ladies who ‘creep in’ every second and fourth Thursday afternoon in the month to read and discuss Bible stories with groups of our children.

We participate in a number of community projects in and around Longhorsley. Some are annual events such as:

  • Village Day in July when the children can be found busily  preparing entries for the various competition classes.
  • a ‘Remembrance’ service at the Village flagpole in November.
