Caretaking to Longhorsley C of E First School

Due to the current postholder retiring, we are looking for a hardworking, trustworthy and committed caretaker, who takes pride in their work and enjoys a welcoming workplace, where their efforts are valued.

To start mid-July 2025 (overlap of 2 weeks with current postholder to provide induction and familiarisation/training).

The successful candidate will be responsible for the security of our school, the related health and safety procedures, the maintenance, and the overall cleaning within the school on a daily basis. Good DIY skills would be advantageous. The post holder will be responsible for opening the school up in the mornings and securing it every evening.

This post holder will be employed by The Federation of Longhorsley and Whalton C of E Schools, but will mainly be based at Longhorsley C of E School, on a part-time basis (20 hours/week). Training will be available for aspects of the job to ensure compliance with health and safety at work.

Visits are warmly encouraged to the school site.
